Chaya has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. She completed her teacher training at Kripalu in 2006 and has taught yoga primarily in alternative mental health settings. She was featured in Yoga Journal in 2008 for her work is supporting people seeking mental health alternatives. Her focus is on yoga for healing, integration and well being. She was certified in reiki in 1999 and graduated form the San Francisco School of Massage in 2011. She does not practice massage professionally, but brings her knowledge of anatomy and massage techniques into her work. Chaya is also a writer, writing teacher and creative artist and enjoys integrating the creative and healing arts.

In search of a more mindful life’s journey, a sense of calm in the chaos, a new beginning and a healthier version of myself, I came to discover a kinder form of exercise with added benefits called yoga. My body longed for a healthier alternative. I found the softness and strength at my first yoga retreat in Belize and ever since then I became passionate about self-care and self-love. Nature surrounded me, love for everything that I could explore, share, learn, yoga and more yoga. Discovering a braver version of myself in a jungle, on an island, climbing mountains and snorkeling in the vast ocean, my sails are set free. Yoga brought me to places I never imagined.
On my mat the journey was even deeper, quieter, stronger more mindful and then the openness to new possibilities. I felt renewed and wanted to learn more. I discovered various styles of yoga and found what worked best for my body during various times in my life. What does your body, mind and spirit need, right now? Different styles fit a certain timeline as needed. That’s the best part of yoga, it’s for every body and accessible for everyone.
The experience in classes and certifications guided me on my very own journey to heal, create a sense of calm, greater strength, flexibility and balance. The fact is we all need balance and support to not fall. This led me to teach, share practices that encourage your very own customized journey and path to wellness. Listening, learning, guiding and being mindful will create the mindset for movements for a healthier you.

Jolie started her yoga journey in 2018. After a few months she noticed her anxiety decreased and her range of motion increasing.
Becoming aware that depression, aches & pains were no longer apart of her everyday life was the Ah-Ha moment that Jolie knew she wanted to become a Yoga Teacher. Guiding others on the journey of connecting mind,

This new found passion led Jolie to HeartnSoul Yoga Therapy in Hadley MA for her 200hr yoga teacher training in Trauma Sensitive Hatha Yoga. Also certified in Qigong Infused Yoga™️, Hypnobliss™️ Yoga Nidra,Thai Bodywork, a Reiki Master Teacher and is working towards becoming a LMT to bring a wide variety of healing options to others.
Jolie enjoys family time, playing her Crystal Singing Bowls, music, painting, nature, jewelry making & learning.
Assisting others to clear blockages and find their inner light for a healthier life is Jolie’s joy.
Teaching from her heart, Jolie brings laughter, knowledge and creativity to each class. Her goal is for each student to leave class feeling more content with a deeper understanding to their yoga practice.
